Prerequisites: Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra I. This science course offers a truly experiential approach that engages students in active learning and emphasizes the application of integrated science. Student materials combine math, chemistry, biology, physics, and earth science content aligned with the National Science Education Standards. Students will study different types of evidence and the techniques that are used in today’s crime-scene investigations.  They will learn about the vast array of jobs that are involved in the criminal justice department. Topics will include:  historical development of forensic science, trace evidence (hair, fibers, soil, pollen, and glass), fingerprinting, DNA, handwriting
